PEDRO SOUTO, director of MotelX, Portugal.
As one of the founders of MOTELX – Lisbon International Horror Film Festival, he has worked as a director and programmer since its creation in 2007. Graduated in Cinema from the Escola Superior de Teatro e Cinema, his academic experience includes production and direction of photography of several short films. In addition, he was an associate producer on the award-winning feature film “The First Summer” and the most recent “28½”, as well as the short films “Seica numa Tarde” and “Big Bad Knight”. His participation in the main international film markets and in several festivals also allowed him to act as a jury. Since 2014, he has been part of the jury of the Shortcutz Lisboa monthly national competition. Most recently, he was Secretary General of the International Federation of Méliès Festivals for seven years, an institution with more than 30 years of experience that organizes the annual Méliès d’or competition for the best European feature films and short films, of which MOTELX has been a member since 2011.
OSCAR DOVISO, director RiR Film Festival, Spain
Born in Ourense, studied Audiovisual Media. He works as a producer and director in different film and television projects. He has been at the helm of ZinemusiK Producciones for more than 15 years and currently also directs the RiR Festival (International Festival of Comedy Short Films).

Portuguese horror writer with short stories published in the anthologies “Sangue Novo” (2021), “Sangue” (2022) and “Dead Letters: Episodes of Epistolary Horror” (2023). She is the co-founder of Fábrica do Terror, the only website in Portugal dedicated entirely to Portuguese horror, where she interviews horror filmmakers and often writes about books and genre film festivals. Together with directors Anna Carvalho and Isabel Pina, he is currently developing “Fragmentos de um Corpo”, a film anthology of Portuguese horror stories directed by a diverse group of Portuguese filmmakers.
