If we’re talking silent film, we couldn’t miss Caspervek. These regular festival friends will return to Curtas Festival do Imaxinario on October 30th, at 9:15 pm, to accompany the screening of The Golem (Der Golem, wie er in die Welt kam, 1920) by Paul Wegener and Carl Boese. One of the pioneering films of German Expressionism that would significantly influence later titles like Frankenstein, and which explores human identity and the darkest aspects of the soul. In the film, Rabbi Loew creates a clay statue to save the Jews from the brutal persecution they are subjected to. In the 20th century, a merchant discovers it and brings it to life.
