Curtas Festival do Imaxinario continues to expand its international reach by forging strategic alliances with Europe’s leading genre film festivals. This time, the festival is proud to announce a special collaboration with Obscura Filmfest in Berlin, a key fixture for fantasy and horror cinema in the German capital.

This partnership was born with the clear goal of promoting emerging talent and building a solid cultural bridge between Galicia and Germany. This exchange will allow filmmakers from both regions to reach new audiences, strengthening the global visibility of genre cinema.

Programming Exchange: “Galicia Imaxinaria” Travels to Berlin

As a core element of this agreement, Curtas Festival do Imaxinario will screen a representative selection of short films from the Berlin festival’s history during its upcoming edition. This offers a unique opportunity for the audience in Vilagarcía de Arousa to discover the most innovative and daring works from the German and international fantastic scene.

In turn, Obscura Filmfest will host the “Galicia Imaxinaria” showcase within its official program. This selection, curated by our festival, will bring the very best of Galician fantastic audiovisual talent to Berlin, exporting our identity and creativity to one of Europe’s most vibrant cinematic hubs.
