CODE OF CONDUCT

At Curtas Festival do Imaxinario, we believe that the magic of the fantastic must be a safe meeting space for everyone. Our goal is to ensure an environment where respect, diversity, and coexistence are the pillars that support the festival experience, both at our venues in Vilagarcía de Arousa and on our digital channels.

By participating in any activity of Curtas Festival do Imaxinario, you agree to respect the principles of coexistence detailed below.

A HARASSMENT-FREE SPACE

The festival does not tolerate harassment or discriminatory behavior in any of its forms. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Respect for Diversity: Offensive comments, jokes, or behaviors related to race, ethnicity, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, functional diversity, age, religion, or any other personal condition will not be permitted.

  • Physical and Moral Integrity: Any form of intimidation, threats, non-consensual physical contact, or unwanted sexual attention is strictly prohibited.

  • Theater Etiquette: Respect for other attendees and artists is fundamental. Persistent interruptions that prevent the normal development of screenings, talks, or activities will not be allowed.

RECORDINGS AND IMAGE

We ask all attendees to respect the privacy of others. If you wish to take photographs or recordings of artists or the public outside of official public acts, please ensure you have their prior consent. The festival reserves the right to limit the use of recording devices if they interfere with the comfort or safety of the participants. When in doubt, just ask us!

ASSISTANCE PROTOCOL

If you feel uncomfortable, suffer any form of aggression, or witness a situation that violates this code, please act as follows:

  • Contact Our Staff: Approach any member of the festival team or our volunteers (identified by official accreditation). They are trained to listen and help you discreetly.

  • Organization Actions: Curtas Festival do Imaxinario reserves the right to expel any person who violates these rules, without the right to a refund, and to inform the competent authorities if the situation requires it.

Whenever you need it, you can report an incident through our contact form. Any information received will be treated with total confidentiality by the festival management.
