LOCATION
Curtas Survival Zombie
Curtas Festival do Imaxinario brings Survival Zombie to Vilagarcía. A live survival experience that will turn the city into the setting of a zombie apocalypse. For six hours, players must move around the environment, overcome challenges, solve situations, and make decisions while interacting with actors, characters, and hordes of zombies played by professional actors. It is an immersive experience: there is no screen between the player and the action; everything happens around them and every participant is part of the story.
The game combines action, roleplay, strategy, exploration, and teamwork in an experience where every edition tells its own story. Players will have to collaborate to advance, get resources, and stay alive, but also face the consequences of their choices: some choose to make alliances and pacts with other players, while others opt for betrayal to survive. With over 600 editions held and a community of players spread all across Spain, the Survival Zombie event is not only a healthy leisure offering, but has also become the most recognizable Real Game experience in the country.
The dead don’t stay dead! The zombie outbreak has turned cities into places of nightmare, and survivors fight with fierce intensity to secure resources and stay alive.
We all know how the drill goes with a zombie apocalypse, but here in Vilagarcía de Arousa, there is something much more unsettling and pareidolic. Something… has begun to change. On turned-off radios, disconnected phones, and unknown frequencies, the exact same signal has appeared. A voice. A voice that speaks names, like the Johnny Cash song!
While some believe it’s a signal from other survivors, others claim it’s a trap. Some (mostly very serious and well-read folk) have discovered that those words appear in primeval written texts that have existed long before the zombie outbreak began.
They speak of an ancient presence, of something that sleeps beyond our world. A sketchy cosmic vibe is calling!
As if a zombie pandemic wasn’t already stressful enough, a Cthulhu-style mess enters the scene. What is hiding behind the signal—a broken microwave throwing out interference that sounds like voodoo mumbo jumbo, or perhaps is there something much more serious, real, and mind-blowing behind it? “Maybe the infection isn’t the beginning,” said a lady passing by. “Maybe it’s just the consequence of something that has been waiting for thousands of years.” Whoa!
Be that as it may, the Call has begun. You have six hours to solve this intriguing ancestral mystery and answer the Call while dodging zombies and other survivors whose only priority is their own ass, all while avoiding losing every mineral in your body from sheer tension and adrenaline!
