CURTAS FESTIVAL DO IMAXINARIO, the international fantasy film festival of Galicia, is pleased to present “GALICIA IMAXINARIA”. An exciting project that will bring Galician fantastic audiovisual talent to other countries. It promotes the cultural exchange between international festivals in an unprecedented agreement, and brings different perspectives and ways of understanding fantasy to their audiences. “GALICIA IMAXINARIA” is a visual account of the learning, evolution, and growth of short-form Galician fantastic cinema in recent years, connecting Galicia with the world, and the world with Galicia, through the genre.
The fantasy genre has always been a great narrative tool for exploring deep and complex themes. Through imaginary worlds, impossible creatures, and narratives that defy logic, the genre has allowed, from its beginnings, to reflect on and address the most pressing questions and concerns of our time and glimpse our reality with greater clarity.
THE SHORT FILMS OF GALICIA IMAXINARIA
In “GALICIA IMAXINARIA” we present a selection of short films that won awards in previous editions of the Festival and offer a wide range of the different styles, themes, and sensibilities present in recent Galician fantasy. We are giving these works a new lease of life and taking them to countries where, for the most part, they have not been shown before.

PARTICIPATING FESTIVALS AND EVENTS
«GALICIA IMAXINARIA» would not be possible without the collaboration of the following festivals and events, which offer their respective countries and audiences the chance to enjoy these short films. In addition, each of these festivals also offers the audience of CURTAS FESTIVAL DO IMAXINARIO the opportunity to enjoy the fantastic short film talent of their respective countries. Thank you so much for participating in this project!
