Curtas Festival do Imaxinario takes a new step forward in its national projection by joining the network of the Fugaz Awards, the most significant accolades for short films in Spain. The Vilagarcía festival joins as a “Friend Festival” (Festival Amigo), a role that goes beyond symbolic collaboration, becoming a member, with full voting rights, of the Commission responsible for deciding the winners.

This alliance holds special relevance for the region’s audiovisual sector, as it positions Curtas as the only Galician festival currently part of this network. In this way, the event not only integrates its criteria into the industry’s major decision-making forum but also acts as a representative for Galicia in awards involving over 1,500 sector professionals.

The Fugaz Awards are distinguished precisely by this cross-sector voting model. By joining this group, Curtas Festival do Imaxinario will actively participate in evaluating the works that define the season, reinforcing its commitment to creators and consolidating its role as an active agent within the Spanish industry.
