Vilagarcía de Arousa continues to strengthen its ties with the European film industry. The festival announces a strategic alliance with the prestigious German publication, which will also have representation on this edition’s International Jury.
The boundaries of Curtas Festival do Imaxinario continue their natural expansion across the European continent. After consolidating its presence on the national scene, the event takes a giant leap toward the German-speaking market by announcing that Deadline – Das Filmmagazin will, from now on, be the official media partner in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
An alliance for European fantasy
This collaboration is not only a milestone in the festival’s international communication but also establishes a direct bridge between Vilagarcía de Arousa and one of the most powerful and passionate markets for genre cinema. Deadline – Das Filmmagazin, an undisputed leader in reviews and news for horror, sci-fi, and fantasy in Central Europe, will serve as the megaphone for our programming, guests, and updates in these territories.
“The influence of the fantastic knows no limits, and having an ally like Deadline allows us to bring the spirit of Curtas to the heart of Europe,” says Luis M. Rosales, Director of the Festival.
Presence on the International Jury
The agreement goes beyond media coverage. As part of this synergy, one of the editors from Deadline – Das Filmmagazin will travel to Vilagarcía to join the International Jury. Their specialized perspective will join other industry professionals in evaluating the works competing in this year’s Official Selection, providing a fundamental European viewpoint for the festival’s growth.
With this move, Curtas Festival do Imaxinario reaffirms its commitment to internationalization and the creation of collaborative networks that highlight Galician and global fantasy cinema.
Welcome to the Imaxinario family!
